More than 20 musicians, including Ma Nianxian, Huang Xuan, Hong Shenhao, Ding Jiahui from the Problem Headquarters, and Gao Xiaogao from the Punk Demoness Festival, will be performing at the [2026 freakoutbeast Music and Art Festival], sharing their personal playlists with music fans during the Lunar New Year! The festival will also feature food, a celebrity secondhand market, and a creative market, all waiting for you to come and celebrate a prosperous New Year!

On-site activities also include traditional activities such as writing Spring Festival couplets and collecting points in a nine-square grid, as well as hands-on workshops suitable for the whole family, such as making Nian beast masks and rubbings. Visitors can also roam the park with the mascot Nian beast, Maoguai, allowing everyone to experience the traditional New Year atmosphere of family reunion in a joyful environment!

Since its inception in 2006, the freakoutbeast has been exhibited in various locations, including Huashan 1914 Creative Park, Yongkang Park, Daan Forest Park, Shida Shopping District, and Xinyi 101 Plaza. With the spirit of "replacing firecrackers with music and creativity, and making a big noise with the freakoutbeast", it transforms traditional Taiwanese New Year customs into a new generation of festive cultural vocabulary.

The 2026 "freakoutbeast" exhibition, themed "Culture × Tourism × Commercial District Co-creation," is presented by Yiju Co., Ltd., co-organized by the curatorial team "Poetic Beast," and sponsored by the Taipei City Government's Department of Information and Tourism. Held at the Rongjin Time Living Park, the exhibition incorporates seasonal concepts, local revitalization, New Year's celebrations, and music and art, featuring three main themes:

Spring Equinox Theme | Freakoutbeast Spring Equinox Music Festival (February 7-8)
With the theme of the Beginning of Spring, the event features live performances by independent bands, electronic musicians, and experimental sound creators. Calligraphy enthusiasts shouldn't miss the creative couplet-writing experience, as well as a limited-time food market and a cultural and creative market.

Lunar New Year Limited Time Only | Noisy Year of the Horse Music Festival (February 20-21)
Ma Nianxian will be celebrating the Year of the Horse with you! Multiple musicians will be performing live, making it a truly unique experience this year. On the fourth and fifth days of the Lunar New Year, after spending time with your family, welcome to the [Rongjin Time Life Park] for a spring outing. Bring your children to experience activities like writing Spring Festival couplets, crafts, and ring toss games. There will also be a mystery celebrity secondhand market – come and discover treasures during the Lunar New Year holiday!

Celebrate the Lantern Festival | Freakoutbeast Lantern Festival Music Festival (February 28 – March 1)
During the last long holiday of the Lunar New Year (228), musician Huang Xuan, illustrator Li Han, CheeR, and other DJs will perform live, along with a handmade and art market, creating the most distinctive Lantern Festival art celebration in the park.

In 2026, the "Chasing the Nian Beast" event will be held for the first time at the Rongjin Time Lifestyle Park in Jinhua District. Throughout February, it will creatively and enthusiastically connect the Yongkang business district, Jinhua district, and local brands to create a city-wide cultural and artistic extravaganza spanning from the Beginning of Spring, the Spring Festival, to the Lantern Festival. We invite everyone to join us in "Chasing the Nian Beast" at the start of the Year of the Horse!
During the "Freakoutbeast" event, the park has prepared a brand-new themed "Happiness Jiama" wishing wall.
"Jiāma” means adding a little extra joy.
